So of course our favourite traders FUTSOVEREIGN, MARCFUTTRADER AND MRFUTANALYSER had a look at the VERY FIRST TOTW for you guys and here it is:
Gk – Mike Maignan – Lille OSC – the 25 year old custodian turned in a fine performance during their 2-0 victory over Nantes making a total of 6 saves.
CB – Ruben Dias – S.L Benfica – in what could turn out to be his last performance in the Primeira Liga before he heads to Manchester City , Dias turned in an excellent display and signed off with a delightful 20th minute headed goal.
CB – Sebastián Coates – Sporting CP – scored the second goal in a 2-0 victory over Pacos Ferreira with a real poachers effort at the far post.
RB – Noussair Mazraoui – Ajax – the Moroccan national kept the Barcelona linked Dest out of the starting line up and provided an assist in their 2-1 win over Vitesse that Ajax managed to win despite playing 46 minutes with 10 men following a red card for Edson Álvarez.
CAM – Dries Mertens – S.S.C Napoli – Napolis diminutive all time leading goalscorer added another to his tally as well as providing 2 assists during their 6-0 romp over Genoa C.F.C.
CM – Federico Valverde – Real Madrid C.F – scored the opening goal in Madrids 3-2 win over Real Betis following some excellent trickery from Karim Benzema.
CAM – Alejandro Darío Gómez – Atalanta B.C – grabbed a goal and 2 assists in the freescoring 4-2 win over Torino, the goal being a driven right footed effort from range, a great way to celebrate his 200th appearance for Atalanta in Serie A.
ST – Andrej Kramarić – TSG 1899 Hoffenheim – notched 2 goals in a fabulous 4-1 win over European Champions Bayern which moves them to the top of the Bundesliga table.
ST – Wissam Ben Yedder – AS Monaco – the scourge of many a weekend league helped himself to 2 goals over Strasbourg and followed the match with a tweet to the Fut community stating ” I was just waiting for the first TOTW to start scoring braces…you guys can start saving the credits”.
ST – Jamie Vardy – Leicester City – took his tally to 9 goals against Manchester City with a clinical hatrick in a 5-2 win vs Pep Guardiolas men.
ST – Luis Suarez– Atlético Madrid – what a way to introduce himself to the Los Colchoneros faithful following his high profile exit from Barcelona, a real standout performance with 2 goals and an assist on his debut.
GK – Illan Meslier – Leeds Utd – the 20 year old France u21 International was fantastic on Saturday vs Sheffield Utd making 4 saves and keeping a clean sheet.
A really impressive start to his premiership career.
RB – Mehmet Zeki Çelik – Lille OSC – an assist from the Right back which should really have been a goal after his strike was deflected into the net by the hapless Nicolas Pallois.
RM – Jarrod Bowen – West Ham United – opened his tally with a finesse shot finish on the counter and doubled it after getting on the end of a fine cross from Michail Antonio, a somewhat unexpected result over Nuno Espírito Santo Wolves.
RM – Daniel Caligiuri – FC Augsburg – a goal and an assist vs Borussia Dortmund, despite only having 20% possession Caligiuri turned in an inspired performance that will have left the Fuggerstädter fans delighted.
CDM – Jordan Veretout – A.S Roma – the former Aston Villa man seems to have settled in at Roma following his move from Fiorentina and took his tally to 8 goals for the I Giallorossi notching 2 vs Juventus in a well fought draw.
CB – Luca Caldirola – Benevento Calcio – despite going 2 goals behind Caldirola inspired a brilliant comeback, first with a cool finish inside the box and secondly with a towering header, turning the tie on its head and securing the 3 points for Gil Stregoni.
CM – Andrés Iniesta – Vissel Kobe – a majestic midfield display from the Spanish legend turning back the clock with a goal and 2 assists.
RM – Ángel Correa – Atlético Madrid – not to be overshadowed by Luis Suarez’ debut the Argentine winner produced a fine display and finished the game with a goal and 2 assists in their 6-1 dismantling of hapless Granada.
ST – Artem Dzyuba – FC Zenit Saint Petersburg – a devastating display including a cheeky soft penalty a sublime chest and volley strike into the top right hand corner and superbly weighted assist rounded off with a well placed finish just inside the box. The standout performance of the week.
LW – Ansu Fati– FC Barcelona – its quite incredible this guy is only 17 years old , 2 well taken goals by the youngster in their 4-0 win over an outclassed Villarreal.
RW – Hirving Lozano – S.S.C. Napoli – ‘chucky’ opened the scoring with a scrambled effort adjudged just to have gone across the line and got his second capitalising after a terrible pass from Genoa allowed Mertens to feed him for a simple finish in the bottom right corner.
Should have had a hattrick but dragged a clear opportunity wide earlier in the match.
ST – Andrea Belotti – Torino F.C. – unlucky to be on the losing side after grabbing a well taken brace against Atalanta B.C.
