TOTW 3 Prediction
Team of the week’s that fall during an international break always tend to be somewhat underwhelming,tough to predict and more than likely wont contain many players that will enhance your squads. Despite that there are still a couple of players to get excited about.
Darren Randolph – GK – West Ham Utd – a clean sheet and 5 saves in Irelands 0-0 Nations League game vs Wales.
Sergio Ramos – CB – Real Madrid – an impressive defensive performance from the Spanish captain leading by example in the 1-0 victory over the Swiss.
Matthias Ginter – CB – Borussia Monchengladbach – scored the opening goal in Germany’s 2-1 win over Ukraine and also put in a solid defensive performance, didn’t quite manage a clean sheet due to a 76th minute penalty.
Connor Coady – CB – Wolverhampton Wanderers – the 27yr old marked his international debut with a goal in the 3-0 friendly win over Wales.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – CM – SS Lazio – the 80th minute substitute changed the game when he came on vs Norway scoring 2 goals helping Serbia to a 2-1 win.
Leon Goretzka – CM – Bayern Munich – scored the second goal in Germany’s 2-1 win vs Ukraine.
Mikel Merino – CM – Real Sociedad – an very well taken goal first chesting down a free kick taking out 2 Getafe defenders and then calmly burying the shot.
Gylfi Sigurdsson – CAM – Everton – was a big part of Iceland’s 2-0 win over Romania grabbing 2 goals from CAM.
Martin Odegaard – CAM – Real Madrid – almost certain to be the first player to receive a boosted OTW card, the Norwegian Wonderkid created 2 goals in the 4-0 win over Romania.
Roberto Firmino – CF – Liverpool – two goals for the Brazilian during Brazil’s 5-0 win vs Bolivia. Liverpool fans will be hoping he returns to Premier League football with a new found confidence in front of goal
Luis Muriel – LW – Atalanta – the versatile forward played on the wing during Columbia’s game over Venezuela, that didn’t prevent the pacey hitman notching 2 goals however.
Manolo Reina – GK – RCD Mallorca – made 4 saves and helped Mallorca to a 2-0 win over fellow Island club Tenerife.
Willi Orban – CB – RB Leipzig – was a standout performer in the game vs Bulgaria , scoring the 17th minute opening goal and contributing to the win.
Ramy Bensebaini – LB – Borrusia Monchengladbach – an 8.6 rating and an assist for the Algerian Fullback.
Nikola Vlasic – CAM – CSKA Moscow – grabbed the opening goal with a deftly finished right footed shot after some superb passing by Croatia.
Anastasios Bakasetas – CAM – Alanyaspor – a dominating performance by Greece over lowly Moldova saw Bakesetas open the scoring with a 45th minute penalty.
Alexander Sorloth – ST – RB Leipzig – Leipzigs recent signing got on the end of Melings driven cross to make it 2-0 in the game vs Romania.
Yeimar Andrade – CB – Seattle Sounders – scored Seattles second goal in the closely fought victory over Real Salt Lake.
Robert Skov – LWB – Hoffenheim – popped up with a goal from LWB in Denmarks UEFA Nations group match victory over Iceland.
Kamil Grosicki – LM – West Bromwich Albion – the polish winger netted a hat-trick during Polands 5-1 demolition of Finland and dead certain to make the TOTW line-up.
Birger Meling – LB – Nimes Olympique – contributed a superb driven assist for Sorloth as well as putting in a great performance.
Victor Gomez – RB – CD Mirandes – the spanish fullback scored the decisive goal vs Sabadell in this Segunda Division clash.
Gwion Edwards – RM – Ipswich Town – 2 goals and an assist for the Welsh winger in the 4-1 victory over Blackpool.
